Couldn't resist this one. Use Pythagoras' Theorem.
A squared + B squared = C squared
(4x4=16) + (3x3=9) = (16+9=25)
C squared = 25
Square root of 25 = 5
C (the hypotenuse) = 5
Ok, just go ahead and call me a nerd. I'll just put my mechanical pencil back in my plastic pocket protector now.
